Small Group Kick Off

Thank you for attending the kick-off meeting today for small groups! We have an amazing team and an amazing year of ministry ahead of us. Remember, please read chapters 1 and 2, from the Making Small Groups Grow, book and we will post or send via email questions from the book. Also, I wanted to clarify on a comment I shared. Our heart is to have our leaders focus on the key elements that create healthy, maturing and multiplying groups. Not numbers. But, coincidentally, if you apply these, your group will grow! I hope that makes sense. As Josh Hunt's article states, they are:

1. Faith - Believe that God is going to grow your group and that you will reach others;
2. Spiritual Vibrancy - "Remain in me and I'll remain in you." Stay connected with Jesus, stay in the Word, Pray, fast, attempt crazy things for Him and you will be vibrant person that reflects Him. People want to be a part of that.
3. Fellowship - Party like crazy! In fact, if you have 9 parties a year, you've hit the mark!
4. Big Team - Recruit multiple leader roles within your group.
5. People Skills - Work on your tone, boundaries, asking good questions, etc.
